Do these booties make my feet look big?

First of all Ashlynn is doing great! The nurse today told us that the 5 ounces that we thought she lost yesterday must have been a mistake because she had gained it all back already. She weighs 5lbs 8oz!!! That's 2 ounces above her birth weight! Yay! We're happy to know that she didn't lose a bunch of weight like we thought she did. She also gave us more good news... they are going to take an xray of her belly in the morning and as long as everything looks ok they may start feeding her again tomorrow!!! I am so happy about that!!! Tomorrow will be day 6 of antibiotics and TPN so it's a little earlier than we expected, but that just means that she is doing well enough that they think it's time to let her start eating again.

Here are some pics from the last 2 days...

Yesterday I was able to do some kangaroo care again (laying skin to skin), I love Ashlynn's little face in this picture. haha She's so cute!

She is getting pretty strong, too! She kept lifting up her head to look at me. After a couple of minutes of that she fell asleep and we were able to cuddle for about an hour.

This picture is from today. She was asleep most the time that I saw her today.

I forgot to mention the other day that when they put her PICC line in a few days ago they had to put it in her foot. Since it's in her foot they don't wrap her feet up when they are swaddling her in her blanket, so they put some little booties on her so her feet don't get cold. So adorable!

Dawson has been hanging out with Nana and Papa a lot while they are in. He has been having so much fun with them. He loves his family.

Dave and I went out on a date night tonight while my mom and dad watched Dawson. We went to the Old Spaghetti Factory. It was SO good! We had a good time just spending time together.

After that we went shopping. We found a really cute t-shirt for Dawson and a really cute dress for Ashlynn for St. Patrick's Day. Yes we realize St. Patrick's Day is 2 months away but we couldn't resist.

So cute!!!

***Breaking News***

Dave and my dad just got home from visiting Ashlynn and they said her umbilical cord fell off!!! They didn't get any pics (bummer!) but I'll make sure to get some tomorrow. They did however bring me home the umbilical cord. Umm, thanks guys... Eww! haha
