Father's Day 2015

This year for Father's Day the kids answered questions about their dad (his favorite food, favorite thing to do, etc), picked out cards for him, took their traditional DAD pic, and make him is favorite cupcakes. I'll have to have Dave send me a picture of the questions they answered because I forgot to take some and he took them to work to hang them up in his cubical.

Here's the DAD pics and the cupcakes though! :)

He had to work in the morning then he came home and we hung out for a bit before going to my mom's to see my dad Donnie for a bit and then we went to my dad's to see my dad for awhile. It was a fun day. We sure love all the dad's we have in our life!

Drive-In - Inside Out

The kids were counting down the days until we went to the drive-in to see Inside Out. They were super excited! We all love the drive-in!!!

Inside Out was playing with Tomorrowland so we decided to stay for that movie as well. We didn't think the kids would stay awake for the second movie but they wanted to!

Dawson ended up watching all of Tomorrowland and said he liked it even more than he liked Inside Out! Dave also stayed up and watched it but me and Ashlynn fell asleep in the back of the Durango. Oops. I really wanted to see it but I was so tired! And it was nice to fall asleep under the stars. :) We'll definitely have to rent Tomorrowland when it comes out on DVD so I can see it, too!

First Time Bowling

We took the kids bowling for the first time the other day and it was SO MUCH FUN! We played two games which lasted just under two hours. The kids were kind of spent by the second game but they played it through. AND they each got a strike!

After we were finished bowling we spent another half hour or so in the arcade playing games. It was a fun, fun day!

Carnival

We were able to go to a new Black Bear Diner's soft opening for free dinner. Here's papa bear and baby bear.

The newest Black Bear location is in West Valley (I would highly recommend the Jordan Landing location!) and on the way home we drove by West Fest and the kids begged to go so we decided to check it out.

 They had so much fun!

Ashlynn was laughing hysterically on this ride. It was hilarious!

Ashlynn's Dance Recital 2015

I didn't get any good pictures or video of her recital this year. :( I think the lighting on the stage was weird because everything came out really white washed. Boo. Ashlynn is sitting pretty much in the middle of this pic, looking forward while the two on either said are looking else where. My favorite part of the recital was at the very end when all of the dance groups came out to bow and it got really quiet (after lots of applauding) and Ashlynn yelled (and waved) "Hi Mom!!!" It was the cutest and sweetest thing!!!

Here's Ash and Daws after the recital.

And her dance pics from this year. At least these turned out cute!

Dawson's Last Day of Kindergarten

Dawson's virtual Kindergarten graduation.

With his Kindergarten diploma.

We're going to homeschool 1st grade with k12 again... I kind of wanted to try public school but Dawson really doesn't want to so I decided to give it one more year and see if I can get better at it and have more patience! Wish me luck. :)

Dawson's Penpal

Dawson has a penpal that lives in Canada and he sent him this fun package a few weeks ago. Lots of candy from Canada and a fun coloring book!

Fun With Cousins

I've been watching Hailee, Drea, and Carson while Brandee is at work a lot lately which means the kids have been spending tons of time with their cousins! It's been fun!

We went to the splash pad and park one day.

Had a tea party in the backyard.

Went to Smith's Marketplace to decorate and eat cookies!

Swimming at papa's.

Buy one get one free slurpees at Smith's.

Tons of fun in the backyard!

Playing with remote control cars.

And just random fun. They're definitely making a lot of fun memories together!

Zoo Fun With Cousins

While my aunt, uncle, and cousins were here visiting from Denver we went to the zoo! First we had breakfast at our favorite restaurant (for breakfast that is) Black Bear Diner!

It was a super fun day! Also while they were here we took a short train ride so T's boys could ride the train. All the kids got to sit up front for a sec while the train was stopped.

March for Babies 2015

This year we raised $3050 for babies!!! It was out best year yet! We're hoping next year we'll blow this year out of the water, though, because Ashlynn is going to be Utah's 2016 March for Babies Ambassador!!! We're so excited!!!

My aunt Desi, uncle Troy, cousins Karstee and Travis, Travis' kids Tyler and Eric, and my mom joined us in the walk this year! My Dad and Carrie were there as usual, too! Oh and Hailee-bug! It was really fun being able to walk with all of them!

One day while Dawson was going door-to-door in our neighborhood asking for donations, Ashlynn was busy saving bugs in people's driveways so they didn't get hit by cars.

We started Pies for Preemies this year which we're hoping will help us be even more successful next year when we do it again!

Princess Ashlynn!

I loved our Ninja Turtle theme this year!

It's hard to see but Ash had a March for Babies tattoo on her hand.

She's going to be the cutest ambassador EVER!!
