This is when Dave ripped up all the carpet in the family room. You can see old carpet on the stairs and the old railing on the stairs in this pic, too. And the old paint!
That's Aaron's son, Aaron. Dawson had a blast playing with him and I think Ashlynn had her first crush.
Starting the floor in the family room which had to be pulled up and started over again. This is definitely a learning process for us!
More flooring getting put in...
The new railing that Dave was working on so it matches the other railing he put in. We still need to stain them both, but it will probably be awhile before we do that. We have a never ending to-do list. Welcome to home-ownership, right? :D

Master bedroom after.... No more purple wall! Yay!!!
We still need to touch up the trim and hang all the new doors.... like I said, we've got a never ending to-do list! All three of the upstairs bedrooms are painted and have new carpet now.
The living room hasn't been painted yet but the flooring is done!! We'll need to put in the baseboards and stuff after we paint... It's starting to look like a brand new house, though! (The floors are super dusty because we're still working on the house, they look amazing, though!! I can't wait to see them all cleaned up!)
Here's the carpet going down into the basement. We did the same carpet in the two bedrooms down there, too.
Dave is still working on the flooring in the family room. It's about 1/4 of the way finished. We're planning on moving in on Wednesday so hopefully he can finish up tomorrow after work! I'll be over there finishing up the paint tomorrow, too.

OMG!!! Me and my mom almost had a heart attack when we saw him up on the ladder like this!!!
We couldn't have done all that we've done so far without the help that we've got from friends and family. I wish I had pictures of all of our helpers! My dad has let us use a bunch of tools that we've needed, we're so thankful for that! Brandee has watched the kids a TON lately so me and Dave can be over at the house working on it, we're so thankful for her, too. We also thankful for Reyna, Amy, my mom, and Dad for helping us paint. Oh! And Brandee came over to help paint, too! And for Arika and Travis who helped us prep and wash the walls to get ready to paint. And to Aaron for all the work that he did while he was here. There is no way we could have done all that we have so far without all of you!!! I hope I'm not forgetting anyone!
I'll share more pics as we get more done and after we move in! We're gutting the kitchen at the beginning of July. It won't be done until close to August but I'm so excited to see how that turns out!!! Stay tuned....
