Just about every nurse that Ashlynn has had always tells us what a good baby she is. They always comment on how she hardly ever cries and that she sleeps a lot. I got there to see her tonight just as the day nurse was leaving and she came over and introduced herself and said she just wanted to tell me that she adores Ashlynn and that she is such a good baby. :) Even though we've heard it a number of times it still makes me smile to hear it again from a new person.

Tonight was bath night! Here is Ashlynn almost ready for her bath... Check out her belly button! I mentioned in last night's blog that her umbilical cord had fallen off...what a cute belly button she has! :) (And is it just me or does she REALLY look like Dawson in this picture?!)


She was so good during her bath. She did cry a little bit but for the most part she was just looking around. Here she is all nice and clean and bundled up.


I got to feed her tonight!!! They started giving her 6 cc's of my milk every 3 hours and they are slowly going to increase that as they decrease the TPN. It will probably be a couple of days before she's totally weened off the TPN. It was so nice to be able to feed her again even though she finished in just a minute or two. 6 cc's is not that much at all. After I fed her she was awake for another 30 minutes or so just staring at me and looking around. She had a good grip on one of my fingers for awhile which I absolutely loved. Spending time with her is amazing. I can't wait until we're with her all of the time.

I asked the nurse when she would be finished with her antibiotics and she wasn't sure if they were stopping them tomorrow or if tomorrow was the last day. We'll have to talk to the doctor tomorrow and find out for sure.
