Day Three!

On Wednesday morning Dawson decided he wanted to get up early so we were able to make it to the gates before they opened. It was fun to be there while everybody counted down to when they were going to open the gates. And it was awesome to be able to ride some rides with little to no wait.

There was only 1 person in front of us on Alice in Wonderland so there was no wait at all. This is one of my favorite rides, I love it. As soon as we got off the ride I was wishing that Alice in Wonderland was one of the movies that we brought with us because I really wanted to watch it.

After that we headed over to Dumbo! There was a little bit of a wait but only about 5 minutes.

Dawson didn't really like it when I made Dumbo go too high which was surprising since he loved being at the top of the ferris wheel the day before. He didn't cry or anything but I could tell that it was making him nervous so I tried not to make it go too high. Here is a little bit of video. I don't think you can see us very well but I love Dumbo so I have to add the video.

After that we headed over to Peter Pan.

And then we headed over to the Haunted Mansion. The wait for that was only about 5 minutes, too. We were thankful that Dawson woke us up early because we were able to hit all those rides really quickly.

Dave and I hadn't eaten anything yet so we grabbed breakfast on our way back to Critter Country. We knew Tigger and Pooh were going to be back there soon and we wanted to make sure that Dawson got to meet them. He LOVES Tigger!

While we were waiting we did a little shopping and took a few pictures. When I saw a sign that said "Pooh's thotful spot" I told Dave to go sit next to it and act like he was deep in thought...

I was laughing so hard when I took the picture and seeing it now still makes me giggle. :)

We decided to get Dawson's picture by all the honey pots.

We wanted to ride the Winnie-the-Pooh ride while we were back there but it was temporarily closed.

That was ok though because it wasn't too long before Tigger and Pooh came out! We decided to let Dawson run up to them, too, because he loves them so much. I thought it was so sweet to see how excited he was.

He gave Tigger a hug.

I love Tigger and Pooh too so I wanted to get a picture with them also.

It was after 11 after we met Tigger and Pooh and we could tell that Dawson was getting hungry and tired so we decided to go back to the hotel. We had lunch and took a long nap. I think we woke up a little before 4! *lol*

After we woke up we went over to California Adventure to walk around A Bug's Land. We rode Heimlich's Chew Chew Train and we were waiting in line for another ride when we decided we should get Dawson out of the sun. Dave accidentally got a little bit of sunscreen in Dawson's eye when he was putting it on and even though we rinsed it out with water twice it was still bothering him, especially when we were in the sun.

We had reservations for dinner at The Rainforest Cafe so we decided to head over there and hangout in the gift shop until we were ready for dinner.

Dawson was happy to be out of his stroller and ran around everywhere. All throughout the gift shop, outside and then back in. Dave chased him around for awhile and then it was my turn, I didn't last as long as Dave did before I told Dave it was his turn again. *lol*

There was a couple of HUGE fish tanks inside that kept his attention for awhile.

And then we were finally seated. Dawson has gotten SO good at coloring lately, it makes me so happy to see the pictures that he colors.

I thought this was a cool picture, to see a bird and a rainbow above Dawson.

And then the thunderstorms started! Dawson looked a little scared at first, but the next thunderstorm that came around he just looked around to see what was going on.

After dinner we headed back to California adventure and went on the Monsters, Inc. ride. That was a really cute ride and like Alice in Wonderland, after we got off I wanted to watch the movie!

I like this picture because you can see Mike, Sully and Boo and all the doors.

We headed back over to A Bug's Land after that and we tried to go on Flik's Flyers, but right before we were supposed to get on they said they were having technical difficulties and had to temporarily close the ride. Apparently there was a BUG in the system...

So we just walked around for a little bit. Dave took a picture of me and Dawson in front of Mickey's Fun Wheel.

We saw them testing out Disney's World of Color that was supposed to open a few days after we left. We were kinda bummed that we just missed it. At least we got to see them testing it a bit. I think it's going to be a water show with lights under the water...kind of like in front of the Bellagio in Vegas.

And we'll definitely have to check out Ariel's Undersea Adventure when that opens in 2011.

This is when we were getting ready for bed. Dawson had his cute Mickey Mouse pj's on.

And I had to make sure to get a picture of him buy the blanket I made him.

And that sums up our trip to Disneyland. We bought 4 day park hopper tickets even though we had only planned on going 3 days because it was less than $20 for both of our tickets for an extra day and we figured it would be worth it in case we wanted to go. And up until about midnight on the last night we had planned on going for the 4th day but Dawson was having a hard time sleeping so we knew we were all going to be tired in the morning so we just decided to head home when we got up.

We had such a great time! I am so happy that we were able to go. Our trip was perfect. I think I am going to do one more post tomorrow with some random videos from our trip and pictures of some of the souvenirs that we got so make sure to check back for that.
