Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!!!

I figured I would take a few minutes to update our blog really quick while Dawson is napping and Dave is in the shower.

I'm enjoying my first mother's day with Dawson. :-) This morning when I woke up, Dave had already been up and gotten Dawson dressed. Dawson is wearing a shirt that says "Mommy's pride and joy!" I love it! Dawson (and Dave!) got me a couple gifts, too. It was really sweet because Dawson was holding the bag with my gifts in it, I thought he was going to hand it to me but once I tried to grab it, he pulled it back towards him and didn't want to let go. It was super cute.

They got me a mother's day card that you can record a message on...the beginning of the message is Dawson saying "mama". I love it. Dave had to record him saying mama off the video that I got of him saying it because he wont say it anymore. He just says dada now. Little stinker. :-P

They also got me Tori Spelling latest book, Mommywood, which I am so excited to read! I love Tori Spelling and I loved her first book, sTori Telling.

They also got me Yes, Man on dvd. That's one of my new favorite movies, it is so hilarious!

And for breakfast Dave made me eggs, hashbrowns, bacon and toast. It was yummy!

I have a couple videos that I want to add of Dawson. The other day we went to the park for a picnic and they had a baby swing so we decided to see how he liked it. I wish you were able to hear Dawson better in the video, he was talking but sounding really calm. It was cute.

It was a little a windy so we were trying to keep him covered up so he wouldn't get cold and the blanket gave him a little bit more support.

This next video we took while he was eating carrots for the first time. He loved the carrots and he thought I was being pretty funny. :-)

Lastly, I wanted to say congratulations to my friend, Jessica! She had her baby girl, Harmony, this afternoon! 7lbs 11oz and 20 inches long! What a great mother's day present! It's kind of neat that she had her today, not only because it's mother's day but because Jessica was also born on mother's day, 26 years ago! (May 8th, 1983)
