Dawson is still scooting around everywhere. Last night was the first time he got up on his hands and knees but it only lasted a second. Usually he's up on his knees and forearms and he'll rock back and forth really quick. He does it all the time but I have yet to get it on video.
For some reason his favorite thing to play with is the dvd player. I have to move him away from it about 50 times a day...and I am not exaggerating! I've even tried moving it back on the entertainment center so he couldn't reach it but that didn't work. He ended up climbing on the glass to get to it. That probably doesn't make much sense unless you have seen our entertainment center and I'm too lazy to take a picture of it right now. :-P I'm exhausted from chasing him around all time! I don't even want to think about what it's going to be like when he starts crawling and walking! He's already an animal! *lol*
I did find a new toy for him to play with, though. I forgot all about this Leap Frog table that my mom had bought him for Christmas, I noticed it today in the front room (we NEVER use that room) so I got it out for him. I had to take the legs off the table so he could reach it but he really seemed to enjoy it. In fact, he scooted AWAY from the dvd player to come play with the table. Hopefully it's his new favorite thing to play with...I guess we'll see.
I couldn't get him to look at me for the pictures, he was too busy playing.
Dawson has a doctor's appointment on Tuesday. After he got his 6 month shots, over a month ago, I noticed a little lump in his right leg where they had given the shot. I think that's pretty normal, I've felt a lump in my arm after I've gotten shots and it usually goes away within a couple of days. Well, the lump in Dawson's leg hasn't gone away yet and like I said, his shots were over a month ago so I'm a little concerned about it. I'm sure they are going to tell me that it's no big deal but it's better to be safe than sorry, right?
I'll be sure to update the blog after his appointment on Tuesday. :-)
