Our Trip to Utah

It has been a while since I updated our blog! Dawson and I stayed pretty busy while we in Utah, visiting family and friends. :-)

I didn't take as many pictures as I should have but here are a few of my favorites...

My mom and Dawson. He loves his grandma so much! They had a lot of fun together!

My grandma and Dawson! She was so excited to see him! :-)

My dad, Drea (Dawson's cousin) and Dawson. Dawson is sleeping in this picture. :-P It was really sweet though...Dawson is really picky about where he falls asleep, usually he has to be in his bed. I was surprised when he actually let my dad rock him to sleep! (He also let Andy, my brother-in-law, rock him to sleep too! I couldn't believe it!)

Dawson and his cousin, Hailee! He is almost getting too big for her to hold. *lol* She was my little helper! She would read to him and play with him while I would make his bottles. And I put him in his pack n play a few times and she watched him while I showered. (My mom was right down the hall and Hailee did a good job of going to get her if Dawson started to cry or if he spit up)

We had a really good time visiting with everybody and are looking forward to going back in a couple of months! We also have a trip to Denver planned in a couple of months, too. It will be nice to see our family out there as well.

A few days ago Dawson started babbling a lot more and he also started saying mama! Most of the time it's ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-ma... *lol* I don't think he knows what it means yet but I still get so excited when I hear it! I got video of him babbling (he also says ma-ma-ma-ma in the video) The video is really dark, so if you can't see it very well, hopefully you can hear it ok. Also, I'm not sure why but the video is messed up a little bit so the sound doesn't match up with the movement of his mouth. I still love the video though. :-D

And lastly...this is what Dawson and I came home to yesterday. (Along with a really clean house!)

Dave baked us a cake! I thought it was really sweet and it tasted yummy, too! Too bad we weren't able to share any with Dawson, I'm sure he would have loved it too. :-P

I'm so glad that everyone had a good time! So I guess it was all good that Dave had extra time on his hands to clean and cook! ;o)
I'm sure Dawson is SO proud that he's able to say Mama now and call out your name. That's so sweet!
I'm looking forward to your time in Denver!
