He had to get some shots which is never fun but Dave was at the appointment this time so I didn't have to watch the shots being given this time. I still felt really bad, though. Dawson only cried for a minute while the shots were being given but as soon as Dave was able to pick him up he settled down.
While Dawson was getting his shots, I was writing down his weight and length from all his visits. I asked his pediatrician if he could bring it up on the computer for me because I haven't been keeping up on that part of his baby book! I'm happy that I finally have it all and as I was looking over it, I thought it was neat to see how much he has grown, so I thought I would share it with you. :-)
Date/(Age)--------- Weight--------Length
-----------------------(Percentile)---(Percentile)
10/25 (birth) ------- 8.10 ----------20.5
10/30 (5 days) ------8.5 (67%) -----20.5
11/8 (2 weeks) ----- 9.0 (54%) ---- 21.5 (76%)
11/16 (3 weeks) ---- 9.2 (63%) ----- 21.5
12/9 (6 weeks) ----- 9.10 (23%) --- 22.5 (63%)
12/16 (7 weeks) ---- 11.1 (59%) ---- 23.5
1/8 (11 weeks) ----- 13.11 (76%) --- 25 (93%)
1/27 (3 months) ---- 16.0 ---------- 26
2/23 (4 months) ---- 17.6 (96%) --- 27 (99%)
4/28 (6 months) ---- 20.8 (87%) --- 27.5 (78%)
If you notice the big jump between 6 and 7 weeks, that is the week that we started supplementing formula because I wasn't producing enough milk. He gained over a pound and went from the 23rd percentile to the 59th percentile in one week!
We started Dawson on his first veggie today! He had squash and he LOVED it! I was really surprised! I thought we were going to see him pulling some funny faces but he just wanted more! I think we are going to start feeding him cereal in the morning and a veggie for dinner. (Along with formula throughout the day.) We are going to try all the veggies before we introduce him to fruit, so he wont be getting fruit for another 2 weeks or so. He has to eat the same veggie for a few days in a row so we can watch for any allergic reaction, so he'll be getting squash for a couple more days.

I'm so glad that he is such a healthy, happy baby! :-D He sure does love his squash!! lol so cute!
I'm glad he's taking to food so well. Ashlyn did, too. I can't believe how much bigger he is than Ashlyn! She is so tiny. She is just as long as Dawson and about 5 pounds lighter!!! I worry sometimes, but the doctors say there's no need, she's just a small little girl. They're both healthy and happy, though, and that's what's important!
He's so funny! Shayla loved veggies and didn't really want to have anything to do with fruit. I think it is because the veggies are blander than fruit and that is what they are used to (?) I wish she still liked veggies though...picky little thing!!
oh he loves his veggie's like his grandma. I love the way his eyes got bigger when you gave him another spoonful...so cute.
