Getting Crafty!

Ashlynn has a ton of clips, bows, and headbands for her hair. They make quite a mess in the bathroom and I've been looking for a way to organize them for sometime now.  I've seen tons of cute ideas on pinterest but when I've been out looking for what I need, I could never find anything that seemed good enough. Until today! I've seriously been bugging Dave about this for weeks, almost daily he hears me talking about how I want to make something to put Ashlynn's hair stuff on. So while we were at Target I told him I wanted to look at picture frames to see if I could find any I liked. Dave was pointing some out to me and I didn't like any of them until he found this gorgeous white one. I fell in love!! And it was cheap, too, which makes it even better!!! So we grabbed the frame and some hooks and then headed over to Hobby Lobby for some ribbon and a glue gun. Everything that we bought was on sale (except for the hooks) so we were able to put this together for under $20. Plus we have leftover hooks, tons of ribbon, and a glue gun that we can use over and over. Sweeeeeet!

These are terrible pictures because I took them with my phone but here's what we started out with:

We took off the back of the frame and removed the glass and then I measured and marked where I wanted Dave to put the hooks. Then cut some ribbon and placed them where I wanted them to go (no measuring, just eyeballed it) and then I got to gluing! And here's what it looked like when it was all put together:

Yay for teamwork! And then with all of Ashlynn's hair stuff on it.

I love, love, LOVE it!!! I decided to hang it in her room so after I pick out her clothes I can pick out what is going in her hair, too. And I think it makes pretty cute decor, too.

Making this has put me in the crafty mood all over again... What can I make next?
