We Are So Thankful!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year! The first part of our day was spent at home just being together. Dave helped me work on a veggie tray that we would be taking to dinner at my mom's house later in the day. Other than that we didn't do anything too special. Our veggie tray turned out awesome!

I was inspired by a picture that I saw on pinterest. I wanted to use more veggies so I kind of made it my own and think it turned out really well. Almost too cute to eat! I also had some celery and pickles (Ashlynn is obsessed with pickles so I made sure to get some for her) but they wouldn't fit on the tray so I had to put those on the side.

After Ashlynn's nap we headed over to my mom's to hangout and eat dinner. Here are some pictures that I took...

My mom covered the kids table with white paper so the kids could decorate it. Such a cute idea and the kids loved it!

Here's a four generation picture. My grandma, mom, me, and Ashlynn. I really hope we (me and the kids) can meet Dave's grandfather soon so we can get a boys four generation picture like this.

Ashlynn made it into a lot of pictures! Maybe because she was hanging out with me a lot and I was taking the pictures so I would hand her off as I was taking the pictures... Not really sure if that's how it happened but that's all that I can think of. *lol*

Uncle Bronson and Ashlynn.

Aunt Arika and Ashlynn.

Great grandma and Ashlynn.

Papa! (He actually let me take a picture AND he smiled!!!)

Travis, Dada, Aunt Arika, Nana, and Hailee.

Drea, Dawson, and Hailee.

Nana, Ashlynn, and Aunt Brandee.

My dad was working on Thanksgiving so we weren't able to see him and of course we were missing our family in Denver. Hopefully we'll be able to see them soon!

We got a lot of our Christmas shopping done on Thanksgiving night, online of course! We got a LOT of good deals... we have about 25 things that will be arriving on our door step soon! I love getting packages so the next week or so should be really fun and I'm going to have a lot of wrapping to do! Luckily I enjoy that, too. We got all of our Christmas decorations up today except for our tree and the lights that go around our windows. Dave has tomorrow off so I think we'll get those things up then. I'll have to post pictures once everything is up. I love Christmastime and I love turning our house into a Christmas wonderland!

Last but not least, here are a couple of random pictures from the last day or two.
This is a picture of Dawson in timeout (supposed to be sitting on the rug...) usually when Dawson gets sent to timeout Ashlynn joins him to keep him company. Depending on what he goes to timeout for I'll usually let Ashlynn sit with him if she wants to. I think it's cute.

And just a random picture of Daws. He stole my spot on the couch and thought it was funny. :P

Tomorrow Dave and Dawson are going to the Jazz game!! They are playing the Nuggets (boo!) and I got a good deal on the tickets from my boss. I was going to surprise Dave with them but I was too excited, I told him I was getting them the day I talked to Rob about them. I'm not good at keeping secrets.

Dave bought Dawson a Jazz shirt to wear (yay!) and I'm sure Dave will be wearing his Nuggets shirt. I can't wait to hear about the game! I'll tell Dave to take lots of pictures and me and Ashlynn will be watching from home. :)
