Easter 2011

We have lots of Easter pictures to share with all of you! We'll start with some from Saturday afternoon when Dawson was coloring Easter eggs. He really, really enjoyed it!


Here he is checking on one of his eggs...


And admiring them all when he was finished! Well, he wasn't quite finished yet, we had to wait for the eggs to dry so he could add some stickers to them.


Ashlynn was hanging out in her bouncy seat while big brother was coloring the eggs.


Time to add some stickers! He had a lot of stickers left over when he was finished so we gave him some plastic eggs and let him put stickers on those too. :)


Here's a picture of their Easter baskets. My parents sent some stuff for each of them and we added them to thier baskets. Ashlynn got a few outfits, a couple of books, Bambi DVD, a couple of toys, some shoes and a beanie baby. Dawson got an outfit, swim shirt and shorts, sunglasses, Blue stuffed animal, some Mickey Mouse Clubhouse toys (including Toodles which is his favorite) and some little candies and crackers.


Here is a picture of him finding eggs on Easter morning. He had so much fun and did SO good!!! He would get so excited when he would find each one and would yell "I got it! I got it!" It was so cute!



Growing up my dad the Easter bunny would always hide our Easter baskets and would leave clues to where we should look. The clues would say something like -- go look where you keep your socks... then there would be another clue and we'd end up running back and forth throughout the house until we finally got the clue that led us to our basket. It was always a lot of fun and we've decided to continue the tradition with our kids. We kept Dawson's clues really simple since he's just little but he had a lot of fun with it!

Dawson had so much fun today playing with all his new Mickey toys, he's had a few for awhile and he always calls for Toodles so when we saw him at the store we knew he would love it!

Before I go I have a little video of Ashlynn talking again that I want to share. Dave took it with my cell phone so it's really crappy video (especially since I had it on MMS mode which makes the video super small so I can send it through text) but you can still hear her well even though the picture doesn't look great.
