So, like I said I was really bummed that we didn't have the camera with us. Now fast forward a few days. We were out on a walk again and decided to take a new route that we had never taken before. We've driven past this little playground that is right next to the bay so we decided to walk to it so Dawson could play a little bit. We were walking right next to the water and we saw the cutest duck! It was hungry and looking for food so he kept disappearing under the water and then he'd pop back up in a different spot a few seconds later. It was really fun to watch him. We even got to see him catch and fish and eat it which was pretty cool! And once again we did not have the camera with us so we weren't able to get any pictures! We were so close to him too! I told Dave that we have to bring the camera on every walk from now on and he agreed!
I took this picture with my phone the day we saw the duck and didn't have our camera. I'm not sure why I didn't just pull out my phone to try to get a picture of the duck...it would have been better than nothing! Oh well, we got a picture of Dawson having fun. :)

The next day we decided to walk along the water again to the playground (it's definitely our new favorite route) and we had the camera this time. We were so happy that we did too because we saw a seal in the bay!! It was out kind of far so we couldn't get any good pictures but at least we tried. You can kind of see his head in this picture... I cropped the picture a little bit so he'd be easier to find.

There was a helicopter flying around the bay at the same time that we saw the seal and Dawson was much more interested in that. I didn't think he really even noticed the seal because he was so into the helicopter but during our walk the next night he started looking for the seal as soon as we got close to the water. Too bad we didn't see another one! But back to the night before, we watched the seal for a little while and then we walked to the playground so Dawson could play. I didn't get any pictures of him this time because the sun had gone down enough that I was able to get Ashlynn out of the stroller and hold her so she could look around at everything. Just before we were about to go home I had Dave take Ashlynn so we could get a couple of pictures of her. She's getting so big. ♥

What a sweet post! That is so cool that you guys can just take a walk and be by the water, see ducks, seals, and helicopters! Sounds like our kind of place. ;)
