She has been smiling and using her voice for a little over a month now and we just can't get enough of it, she's so sweet! Dawson got her to laugh for the first time the other day, it was SO cute. We were sitting at the dinner table and I was holding Ashlynn. Dawson started banging his spoon on the table and Ashlynn just thought it was hilarious! It was so cute and funny! I've gotten her to laugh a few times since then by playing peek-a-boo with her but Dawson was the first to get a laugh out of her.
She's been chewing on her right hand a lot lately which means she is getting better control of her hands because she is able to put it into her mouth all the time. She doesn't really grab for things yet but I am sure it won't be long before she does. She likes to hold on to mine and Dave's fingers while we're holding her and she's got a pretty good grip!
She started sleeping in her crib a few days ago. She had been sleeping in a bassinet next to our bed but she's been sleeping through the night for about a month now and this is about the age that we moved Dawson to his crib so we figured we'd do the same with her. It's best that she gets used to falling asleep in her crib now rather than later and she seems to be doing really well so far. In fact, I think she actually likes it more! The first morning that she woke up in her crib she didn't wake up crying, she woke up talking. I think she liked looking at Winnie-the-Pooh.
Her sleep sack matches her bedding, we didn't do that on purpose but I think it's pretty cute! She's a belly sleeper just like Dawson was (well, he still is).
