Playground and Beach

We went to a new (to us) beach the other day that Dave just happened to drive by when he was running an errand for work. It's right next to the gate that he went in that day (I think there was an accident or something that caused him to go a different way that he normally does). Anyway, I guess there is a landing strip just on the other side of the gate and he knew Dawson would love seeing the planes land. There is also a little playground right off the beach that he thought looked like fun. We went on a Sunday and there wasn't any planes flying that day but Dawson still had a lot of fun on the playground.

I love this picture of him, even though it's not a straight on shot you can still tell how happy he is because he's having so much fun.


He loved going down the slide.





After he played for a little while we walked down on the beach to watch the waves. We only stayed on the beach for about 15 minutes or so because it was getting late and we hadn't eaten dinner yet. We did take a few pictures while we were there and I love this one of me and the kids.


We are definitely looking forward to going to the beach a lot this summer. Dave and Dawson will have lots of fun playing in the water while me and Ashlynn sit on the beach under an umbrella and play in the sand. :)

Before I go I want to add this video of Dawson. He has been obsessed with Blue's Clues for a couple of months now and he knows almost all the songs they sing by heart now. Here he is singing the song they sing at the end of the show. I'll post the lyrics here in case you have trouble understanding him...he does REALLY good though and only misses a couple of words!
