Pumpkins and lots of fun!

We went to Pumpkin Station yesterday to pick out a pumpkin and let Dawson have some fun. When we got there we realized that our batteries were dead in our camera so I had to use my phone to take pictures, hopefully they turned out ok. First of all we had to stop and take this picture of Dawson as a scarecrow.

He wouldn't look at me but that's ok. :) Next up we picked out a pumpkin. They had some pretty big ones there but we ended up getting a medium sized one.

I didn't get a picture of the one we picked out but I'll make sure to take some of it after Dawson paints it. :)

They had some fun things there for the kids to do. Dawson LOVED this big inflatable slide. The first time he climbed up it took him a few minutes because it gets pretty steep at the top but he did it all by himself.

He had the biggest smile on his face every time he came down. He kept asking to do it over and over again. He went down it about 10 times before we talked him into leaving the slide to go into the bounce house.

He really liked that, too. He would laugh so hard every time he fell down, I think that was his favorite part.

After jumping around for 10-15 minutes we headed over to the train. Dawson got to sit in front and even rang the bell a few times. He had a blast with that too!

After the train it was time to go home to get some lunch and get Dawson down for a nap. He was NOT happy that we were leaving. He cried and threw a fit until we were about halfway home. This is the first time that he has acted like this, he is usually really good when we have to leave and will tell everything bye. I hope this isn't the terrible two's starting...hopefully he was just tired because he played a lot and it was getting close to nap time.

This week has been a wonderful week so far! Dave has had the week off and I have had a burst of energy and have been in the mood to clean and organize. I've teased Dave that maybe I am nesting...our entire house is almost completely cleaned and organized. It feels great! And Dave has been a huge help and doesn't complain when I ask him to do something or help with something. :) He's the best! All of our closets, cupboards, pantry, etc. are all cleaned and organized. :D Even all of our 300+ DVDs are in alphabetically order...that's how much I am paying attention to detail. Don't worry though we haven't been spending all of Dave's time off working. We have been able to get a lot done but we've also been having a lot of fun playing with Dawson and watching movies together. I just can't get over how nice it is to have him home. He hasn't been home for this long in MONTHS!

Dave's last day on the ship is November 12th! Yay!
