Father's Day 2012

I'm a little late in posting this but better late than never, right? (I'm pretty sure that I say that a lot in this blog! haha) For Father's Day this year we got Dave a Broncos jersey...

And we kept up with our regular Father's Day tradition and I took pictures of the kids holding up letters to spell DAD. It turned out really cute as usual. :)

For breakfast I made Dave some French Toast and Bacon cupcakes. They were SO good!! I ran some over to my dad and Carrie before we left for church and they liked them, too. I definitely need to make them again soon!!!

I'm bummed that I didn't get a picture of Dave and the kids!! I'll have to take one and post it soon.

While I'm typing up this Father's Day post I might as well do a little update on Dave. He is working at UTA as a Trax operator. He's still in training right now but he is enjoying it a lot. As soon as a supervisor position opens up he is going to be applying for that, cross your fingers that he'll get it! I can't remember if I posted this in the blog or not, and I'm sure most of you know this already but Dave joined the Navy Reserves when he got out of the Navy. So he's been doing that as well. He recently got promoted so he's HM1 Harrison now. The reason he got out of the Navy is because he hadn't made E6 yet and if you're not an E6 after 14 years in the Navy they basically kick you out. And that's what happened to him! Well, he is an E6 now so he is going to try and get back in the Navy as active duty. We're hoping that it will happen but we're not counting on it. We'll keep you all updated if anything changes. :)

The traditional DAD pics with the kids holding the letters are just adorable!

Good luck to Dave and whatever happens in his career. Personally I think he should be an Admiral!
