Dawson is 5 months old today! I can't believe how much he has grown! I tried to weigh him on our scale today...I weighed myself first and then I weighed myself while I was holding him. It's not a digital scale but it looked like I was about 19 pounds heavier when I was holding him! He's almost a 20 pounder!
Dave and I decided that when he gets home this weekend, we are going to start Dawson on rice cereal. We were going to wait until he was 6 months old but he is so ready for solid food, I can't deny him any longer! I can't even eat in front of him anymore or else I feel guilty. If he sees me with food, he stops whatever he is doing and stares at me. And then he will start leaning towards me with his mouth open! I can't wait to give him his first taste of cereal!
About a week ago we moved Dawson into his crib in his own room. He was sleeping in a bassinet beside our bed but he has already outgrown it! He was doing pretty good sleeping in his crib. He still wakes up a few times a night because he loses his binky but he goes back to sleep right away after we give it to him. BUT last night I decided while Dave is gone, I'd feel safer if Dawson slept with me, so he did. I slept a lot better knowing he was right next to me. I just hope he'll go back to sleeping in his crib easily when Dave gets back. He takes his naps during the day in his crib still so hopefully that helps.

He does look big in his crib. The picture in his jeans he looks really long too! I can't wait to see him eating, I know he's going to love it.

He is so cute! I cannot believe he is 3 pounds away from Drea..Crazy!! lol. Aww..He is going to be in heaven when you give him cereal..I see the way he stares at food..haha. :-) 5 Months already! Where does the time go??
