What a fun night! After Ashlynn got up from her nap this afternoon, Andy (my brother-in-law) called me and said get the kids ready, we're all going to the movies. I asked Dave if he thought Ashlynn would sit through a movie and he said we should try it and find out. So I told Andy we'd meet them there in about an hour. Impromptu movie night, here we come! We ran to the store to grab a couple of treats to take with us. We ended up getting to the theatre a little early so we went to Famous Footwear because Dave wanted to look at some shoes for Ashlynn. Hailee and Drea have Skechers Twinkle Toes and Ashlynn loves them so Dave wanted to see if they had them in her size. They did! So Ashlynn got a little spoiled and got some Twinkle Toes of her own. The toes of the shoes light up (and on the sides a little bit) when she walks. You'll see them in action in the video at the end of this post. They are cute!
Anyway, after we bought the shoes (there was no way we were getting them off of her so it's a good thing we wanted to buy them!) we headed to the theatre. We bought our tickets to Hotel Transylvania, bought some popcorn, and found our seats.
Here's a group photo! I think there were twelve of us there, not a bad group on such short notice. :)
And one of Ashlynn. Her very first time seeing a movie at the theatre.
She did AWESOME!! And the movie was so cute! Everybody loved it, we'll definitely be buying it when it comes out on DVD.
After the movie we met up at McDonald's (they have Hotel Transylvania toys!) for dinner and to let the kids play. Ashlynn loves going down the big kid slide whenever possible, she was having such a blast! Here's a little video of her. I love her big smile as she's coming down. She wanted to go down again and again!

I love the Twinkle Toes shoes! Girls are so much fun to dress. It looked like Ashlynn wanted another trip down the slide even if he had to climb up backwards!
Ashlyn had a pair of Twinkle Toes, too. She loved them! She still has light up shoes, but not Twinkle Toes. I can't wait to see Hotel Transylvania. Good to hear that it's good. :)
