Fish Puzzle

I introduced Ashlynn to the colored fish puzzle the other day. She loves it! She says "puz" and will grab my hand and walk me over to it so she can do it. It's kept low enough that she can get to it and do it by herself but she likes doing it with me watching. :) I like it, too. She surprised me, after I showed her how she needs to match up the colors she started doing it right away! She has a little bit of trouble getting the pieces to fit, she tries to put them in the wrong way and can't always figure out which way to turn it to make it fit but she's doing awesome with matching them up. I ask her what each color is as she picks it up and she calls all of them blue. haha I correct her and have her repeat the color to me after I've told her but for now they're all blue to her when I ask. :) Here are some pictures of her doing the puzzle today.

 Right before I started writing this post I searched the blog to see when Dawson started doing this puzzle and he was the exact same age as Ashlynn! 21 months old. The video of him doing it (you can watch it here) amazes me! He can name almost all of the colors!!

Here are some random pictures from the last few days. I bought Ashlynn a bow to match her Halloween shirts, it's a little too big for her, though, I think we're going to have to save it for next year. Even on the headband it flops around when she moves because it's so big. It sure is cute, though! I love her eyelashes in this picture. So long!

And tonight me and Ashlynn painted our toes for Halloween! We've got orange and black toenails. :)

 

When I was getting the kids' pjs out tonight Dawson told me he wanted to wear his Santa pjs and he wanted me to take a picture of him. :) These pjs are from last year but they still fit!!
