A Father's Day Tradition

After Dave left on his deployment in 2009 I took these pictures of Dawson for him. Dawson was 10 months old in this first set of pictures. Both Dave and I absolutely loved how they turned out and I decided that I was going to make it a tradition to take pictures of the kids (at the time it was just Dawson) with those letters every year and give them to Dave for Father's Day.

I needed Dave's help this year with taking the pictures because I wanted to take them at the beach and Dawson likes to run around so I knew I couldn't take them both to the beach by myself safely. Dave's gift was a little late this year (that's ok though because he also got an infrared grill for Father's Day which we gave to him early so it all evens out) and he helped me take the pictures. :) I wanted to take them at the beach this year because we are going to be moving back to Utah at the end of the year so I wanted a little bit of San Diego to be in the pictures as well. They turned out really cute!
