Dawson's new bed (and room!)

Dawson has a new room!!! We ordered his toddler bed last week and when it got here we were excited to get it set up so Dawson could try it out. Instead of moving his crib out of his room so we could put his new bed in there we decided to just let him have the other room. Dawson's old room will be Ashlynn's room...and we'll start working on that next!

Anyway, last night was his first night sleeping in his new bed. It didn't go as well as we hoped it would but it's a start! He didn't want us to leave him so I laid with him for a little while and then Dave came up and laid with him for a little while until he fell asleep. He woke up in the middle of the night too, which he normally doesn't do. Dave had to lay with him again until he fell asleep. Naptime this afternoon went a lot better. I took him upstairs, tucked him in and gave him kisses and then came back downstairs and we didn't hear a peep out of him! He stayed in bed and took a nap! Yay! Hopefully tonight goes as well as naptime did.

Last night his room was pretty much empty (only his bed and chest were in there) because we didn't want him to have any distractions. After his nap today we moved everything into his room and put the Toy Story stickers on the wall and everything. He was SO excited to see everything in his room. I think that tonight will go better just because I can tell he really loves his room now that it's (mostly) complete.

Can you believe our baby is sleeping in a big boy bed??! I can't!
