Birthday Presents and 2 Year Checkup

We were waiting until Dave was done with the ship to celebrate Dawson's birthday since Dave was gone for his actual birthday. We were planning on taking him to Chuck E Cheese to play, open presents and have some cake around mid-November. Well, things changed a little bit. Since I was put on bedrest Dave was able to leave the ship early, he's on emergency leave right now. So we decided to celebrate last night! I'm not supposed to go out at all and need to stay off my feet as much as possible so we weren't able to go to Chuck E Cheese like we had planned but Dave baked a cake and Dawson had presents to open. :)

Toy Story 3!

And he also got a magnadoodle. He wanted to play with everything right away, it was cute.


He was happy that he got to blow out more candles and he loved that we were singing to him.


He blew out 1 candle by himself and needed a little help with the other one.

After we ate cake we watched Toy Story 3 and Dawson actually cuddled with me on the couch and watched the whole movie! (He asked to watch it again this morning, but only watched for a few minutes.) He was happy with all of his presents and cake!

His 2 year checkup was also yesterday. I was sad that I wasn't able to go, and even thought about going, but knew it was best if I stayed home. Dave has been Mr. Mom lately, taking care of everything and he doesn't mind one bit. Me and Dawson sure are lucky! Anyway, his appointment went great. He had to get a few shots (after he got home he kept telling me his leg hurt and would ask me to kiss it) but he did pretty good with them. He weighs 32.4 pounds and is 36.5 inches tall! His doctor was impressed with how much he talks and said he looks great.
