Dawson Starts Ninja Training and a Super Busy Week!

Dawson started going to Ninja Warehouse to do American Ninja Warrior type training a couple of weeks ago. He's been to two classes so far and really likes it! I meant to post about this last week but forgot so I wanted to make sure to talk about it first! I love my little Ninja Warrior!!

To start off our busy week, the kids had no school on Monday so I wanted to do something fun with them. We waited for Dave to get off of work and then we went to The Farm at Gardner Village. Ashlynn was going to volunteer there last year, and still wants to, but we've just had so much going on! I'm hoping her and Dave can start going every other week or something because she LOVES animals and wants to have a farm of her own some day. Dawson is more like me... not really an animal lover like Ash is... he likes them but doesn't really want to touch them and the smell of the farm makes his stomach turn. Yep, he's a mini me!

Dawson was whining that he wanted to leave pretty much the whole time, although he did enjoy the pony ride. And Ashlynn didn't want to leave, of course. She's always been our little animal whisperer.

On Tuesday night Ashlynn had tumbling. She was working on her standing backbend and did it all on her own once!! She's still nervous about it, though, so she needs to keep practicing!

On Wednesday Ashlynn started dance back up again. Her friend Avery and her friend Carsen are in her class this year! And her dance teacher told them they were going to be tumbling in their dance this year so she's excited to already be getting better at tumbling

On Thursday night Ashlynn went to her friend's birthday party at High Jump and had a lot of fun! My neighbor took her to the party with her daughter and then I picked them both up when the party was over. Since Ashlynn was going to a party, I was able to go with Dave and Dawson to his Ninja class!! It was fun to watch him!

And then on Friday they both went to another birthday party across the street! The party lasted three hours and Dave and I had decided to surprise Dawson by putting his new bed together while they were gone. We barely had enough time to finish but we did it! This isn't the best picture, I'll have to get another one but here's his new bed!

On Saturday the kids played with their friends for most of the day. Around 8 o'clock last night we played Labyrinth with Dawson while Ashlynn colored.

Tonight we'll be going to our (almost) weekly family dinner at my mom and dad's house and then tomorrow I start my new job at the kid's school! I'm nervous!!
