Cute Little Kiddos!

The kids are playing in the backyard so I thought I'd take a minute to update our blog. Can I just say the kids are going to be so bummed when summer is over and they can't spend their mornings in the backyard anymore! I'm glad they're enjoying it so much and playing so well together (for the most part)!

A few weeks ago when Dave and Dawson went to see a movie and me and Ashlynn went to a different movie I forgot to post something that she said. I thought it was hilarious and don't want to forget it. So, we're sitting there waiting for the movie to start and Ashlynn asks, "when I grow up can I drink soda?" I told her that if she wants to she can. She said, "I'm going to drink it right when I grow up!" hahaha Who knew she was so excited about soda. And Dave and I very rarely drink soda so I don't know why she wants to so bad. I thought it was cute and funny though.

A couple of weeks ago the four of us stayed at my dad's house to watch their dog while they were out of town. My dad paid the kids for their help so I took them to the store to pick out a toy and buy it with their money. Dawson got an action figure that he's had his eye on for a couple of months and Ashlynn picked out two barbies. They were both happy kids!

My cute little girl ready to go out to dinner.

We went to the Old Spaghetti Factory (probably my favorite restaurant) and when we walked in Dawson asked if it was a fancy kind of restaurant. They loved the chairs and couches! We've been here a few times so I'm not sure why they were so fascinated by it this time but it was cute. And we got to eat dinner in a their train car... I should have gotten a pic!

The kids were looking for seashells in the rocks. One day soon we'd like to get rid of all the rocks and pour concrete. Then the kids could ride their scooters or whatever back there and eventually we'd put up a basketball hoop. Those are my dreams anyway.

Ashlynn put the shells that they did find in this toy and added water and then told me that they were seashells now that they had water. lol

We FINALLY spotted the ice cream man in our neighborhood on this day. We were just about to leave so we let the kids choose their ice cream and then we put them in the freezer to save for later.

We'll we got a few miles down the rode and Ashlynn threw up in the car. :( So we turned around and came home. After we got Ashlynn all settled Dawson wanted his ice cream.

Yum!

But poor little Ashlynn needed rest. She was better within a few hours and enjoyed her ice cream the next day! :)

I've been doing preschool with Ashlynn and Collin for a few weeks now and I thought Ashlynn looked too cute coloring her page on this day.

5 days ago we decided to go on half hour walk every night as a family. On this night we had cousins over with us! They saw in pig in somebody's yard and asked them if they could pet it. They told them yes and anytime we come by and the pig is out to go ahead and pet it. They were excited about that! We haven't seen him since, though, but we've been exploring and taking different routes. Hopefully we see him again soon!

Another cousins night. We were getting read to watch a movie.

Ashlynn got a new shirt with a dog on it, the same kind of dog that my dad has so we call it her Maizey shirt since it has Maizey on it. She LOVES it because she LOVES Maizey. Anyway, she put on some of my heels and wanted me to take a picture and told me this was her new smile.

A couple of days ago we went to the mall and the kids saw a train that was driving around the mall and wanted to ride in it. We told them if they were good while we shopped they could ride it before we left. Wheeeee! Dave and I decided to walk behind the train and get some extra exercise in... and save a few bucks! lol :)
