Ashlynn thought it was too cool to look at his stitches so I figured I better post some pictures in the blog. Maybe when she's older they'll gross her out or maybe she'll still be fascinated with stuff like that just like her daddy!
Here's his x-ray of the broken bone
He had to have surgery to have a metal plate and some screws put in to put everything back in place. He was pretty miserable before surgery when he'd have to get up and use the bathroom or whatever because the bone would just hang there with no support. So I'm thankful that he had to have surgery so he could feel better and so everything could heal faster! He wasn't able to put any weight on it for 8 weeks!!! (even thought this post will be back dated I'm writing it in March 2014 and he is finally able to walk on it again. Yay!!!)
He's going to have to have surgery again to remove the two long screws but I'm not really sure when that will be.
I just realized that I don't have any pictures of his stitches like I thought I did (sorry, Ashlynn) but I do have these two, I think they're from the night he broke it. Before surgery (he didn't have surgery until almost a week later). Don't look if this stuff grosses you out!!
And this is what it looked like in Febraruy when he could finally start putting weight on it. :) He's got a chicken leg. (Sorry, babe!)
