These pictures are way out of order but they are all from Dawson's Spring t-ball games! He had SO much fun playing this season. He was a lot more focused and more into the games than he was last year. His favorite part of the game was "catching" the ball when the other team hit it. And he was SO proud and excited every time he got the ball that he would show me and then throw it to first base. I thought it was adorable!! :)
Here's a picture of him showing me the ball, there will be quite a few of them like this.
After one of Dawson's games Ashlynn wanted to try hitting the ball, she did really good, too!!
He got the ball again!!
And again!
Here he is trying his hardest to go after the ball.
Ashlynn didn't get into watching his games much, I guess she had too many emails to reply to. She's a busy girl.
He was so excited to get his trophy. Dave was only able to go to his Thursday night games (he played Tuesdays and Thursdays) because he had to work and his last game was on Tuesday so Dave wasn't able to see him get his trophy. On Wednesday morning when we all woke up Dawson said "Dad, you HAVE to see my trophy, it's AMAZING!" It was the cutest thing ever. We got his team pictures that day, too, I'll have to get a good picture of them and post them in the blog.
I think we're going to take the summer off from sports just because we have so much going on already but I am already looking forward to fall soccer or baseball, which ever Dawson chooses to play. He did so well with hitting the ball. He did use the tee every time this season but I think he could have hit it if the coach would have pitched to him. His games were a little unorganized this season, I'm not sure if it was the coach or what but the games seemed very rushed... Dawson did still had a lot of fun but I'm thinking if he does baseball again we won't sign up through Gene Fullmer again (last time he played through Marv Jensen). We'll see though.
He did a great job about running to first base after he hit the ball (last time he played he would chase the ball, he didn't do that at all this time). And he did awesome with running the bases when he was supposed to with very little coaching. When a player on his team hit the ball he knew it was time to run and he'd stop when he was supposed to, too. He had a couple of moments where he wouldn't listen or wasn't into the game but overall he did awesome!!! It was so much fun to watch him and cheer for my little stud muffin!
