Ashlynn is 9 months old!! (Yes, this post is two days late.) I can't believe she is going to be a year old in 3 months!! She is such a happy girl. She's been "talking" a lot lately. Mostly just babbling. She says "dada", but I don't think she knows what dada means. She also says "hi", she waves every time she says it. I have yet to get it on video, though! She just started clapping yesterday and we thought she was saying "yay" while she was clapping. I was able to get the clapping on video today, which I will share in a minute, but she wasn't saying yay this time.
We have started her on 3rd foods (which is chunky baby food) and she LOVES it! She chews really well. I was going through our blog a couple of weeks ago reading about what Dawson was doing at Ashlynn's age and Dawson didn't like the chunky food the first time we gave it to him. We had to wait a couple of weeks and then try again with him. I thought Ashlynn was going to be the same way but she loved it at first bite. She also loves feeding herself puffs and yogurt melts.
She is all over the place now! She doesn't crawl yet but she can scoot herself forward a little bit. She mostly gets around by rolling. She's never in one place for too long, there is too much to explore.
