All Things Christmas!

Dawson saw Santa today! He didn't seem to like him very much, but it could have been worse. At first he just looked up and stared at him and then we (my dad went with us) got his attention so he'd look forward for a picture. And that's when I noticed he wasn't happy. :-(


I picked him up after that picture was taken and then the lady asked if I wanted to try and get a better picture. I figured we might as well try. Bad idea. Right when I sat him back down on his lap he started to cry. :-( I picked him right back up and he must have been mad at me because he continued to cry and then wanted my dad to hold him. Poor baby. :-(

I thought he would like Santa, but I was wrong. He is usually super friendly and playful with everybody, even strangers! He did good, though. :-)

I checked Santa's List when we got home and Dawson is on the Nice List. That wasn't a surprise, he's a pretty good baby boy. :-)

While we were at the mall we stopped in the Hallmark store and picked out a new ornament for the tree. Actually Dawson picked it out. I love how he is able to show me what he wants and likes. He kept pointing to the Bolt ornament and since I was buying the ornament for him I had to get one that he wanted. :-) So far he has 2 ornaments. Last year we got him a Baby's 1st Christmas ornament and now he has the Bolt ornament, which is perfect because it will always be a reminder to how much he LOVES dogs even at a really young age.

He did a pretty good job picking out his ornament, don't ya think? :-)

We left all of our Christmas stuff in storage in San Diego so I don't have his other ornament here but that's ok. We'll have our regular tree next year and I'll have all my ornaments back! I couldn't go without a tree this year so I bought a 4 foot tree and a few decorations for it. It's cute. And it's probably the perfect tree for us to have right now because I put it on the end table in between the couches and Dawson can't reach it. If we had our regular tree up, he'd probably pull the whole thing down 20 times a day. *lol*

I also bought Dave an ornament for the tree a few days ago. I think he'll like it. :-)


The snowman's face lights up and turns blue and orange when it's turned on. It's pretty cute...I mean it's pretty cool. ;-)

I also made an ornament for the tree. I forgot to take a picture of it while it was on the tree. If you look closely you can see it hanging towards the bottom...

Or I can just show you this picture that I took before I put it on the tree! :-)


The one on the right is on our tree. I gave the other one to Becca because she wanted to make them with the daycare kids that her mom watches and I didn't need 2 of them. :-)
