Update, Picture and Videos

Dawson is 11 weeks old today! :-D He had a doctors appointment on Thursday and it went great! He weighed 13 pounds 11 ounces and is 25 inches long! Doc said he is in the 80 percentile for his weight and 98 percentile for his length!!! I already knew he was longer than most babies his age because he doesn't fit into any of his 0-3 month clothes and he is not even 3 months yet! He is already wearing 3-6 month clothing!

His next appointment is at the end of February when he will be 4 months old. That is an appointment that I am not really looking forward to because Dave's ship will be gone so I will have to take Dawson by myself. Normally I wouldn't mind taking him by myself but he has to get shots at his 4 month visit. :-( He got his first round of immunizations at his 6 week appointment...Dave's ship was gone for that appointment too! It really sucked...for me. Dawson was great, I don't think he even cried when he got the shots but I sure did! Hopefully I will do better at the next appointment, but I doubt it.

I'm not sure if I have blogged about this yet but Dawson has learned to roll over already! He can only roll from his stomach to back and he has been doing it since he was 6 weeks old!!! He usually rolls to the right when he is on his belly but today he started rolling to the left! We think he starting rolling to the left so he could see the TV better. *lol* Seriously though, he would be TV junkie already if we'd let him be.

He has been cooing ("talking") for a long time now too. I love talking to him! He's also been smiling for a long time now and about a week or two ago he started laughing. I love it!

He is such a smart and happy baby! He has this toy that you have to roll a ball on it and it will play music...he has already learned how to swat at it and make the ball roll so he can hear the music! He has been doing that for a while too but just recently (like within the past few days) is getting much better arm control and will keep is hand there and keep trying until the music plays.

You can really see how long he is getting. Pretty soon he is not going to be able to fit into his bassinet anymore. :-( Right now he sleeps in his bassinet right next to my side of the bed. I wake up numerous times during the night just to check on him...and I love the fact that he is right next to me! (Oh yeah, did I mention that he is sleeping 6-8 hours a night now! Woohoo!!!) I am going to be so sad when we have to put him in his crib, in his own room. I think I am going to have to do what my Mom did with me the first time I slept in my own room...she slept on the floor next to my crib. *lol*

I think that is about it for updates...here is a cute video that we got the other day. Don't mind my voice...I have been sick for the past week or so. :-P
