Now fast forward to 11pm, after she had been asleep for close to 4 hours already. She wakes up and throws up in her bed. Don't worry, she's not sick, she just ate too much dinner and it finally caught up to her. She crawled into bed with me while Dave got her bed cleaned up and took her sheets off. She was laying on her side with her back towards me and her perfect little side braid was almost sticking straight up into the air. Her "Elsa hair" as she likes to call it. I don't know why but seeing that little braid made my heart swell. She gets so excited when she has Elsa hair.
I cuddled up next to her, thankful for all the joy and spunk that she brings into our lives and she turned around and gave me a kiss on the cheek. It was perfect.
It's no secret that I love when the kids have to sleep in our bed. There's just something so comforting about having my baby (babies) snuggled up next to me as we sleep.
Ashlynn woke me up around 6 in the morning telling me about a dream she had had. I could tell that her adrenalin was pumping; just a few moments before she was asleep and having this dream that she was telling me about. A special moment that may have been missed if she had been in her own bed.
Today and everyday I am thankful for the little things in life!
