Dawson's 5th Birthday!!!

Our baby boy is 5 years old!!! His birthday was on Friday this year which was nice because he didn't have to wait long for his party! The night before his birthday Dave and I decorated his room and the house a little bit with balloons and our usual birthday decorations. And before he went to sleep I had to get a couple of pictures while he was still 4 years old. P.S. I had him cracking up because I told him a fart joke. Mama knows how to get real smiles from her boy! ;)

As soon as he was asleep, me and Dave got to work!

Dawson loved waking up to the all decorations and told me over and over that day that "this is the best birthday ever!" I made him a special breakfast, lunch, and dinner which he loved.

For breakfast I made a Spider-Man pancake with some balloon pancakes, too.

For lunch he grapes (balloons), celery with peanut butter (party style with sprinkles), an apple (Spider-Man!), pb&j sandwich (I tried to make it look like a web), and some crackers.

For dinner he requested "Krabby patties" aka cheeseburgers. I had a theme going all day and I couldn't let dinner be plain and boring so I drew Spider-Man on his cheese. lol (I used the edible markers that I use for my cake pops).

After dinner we sang Happy Birthday to him and we each ate a cupcake.

I love this cute messy face!

Here is the first picture of me and Dawson after he was born...

We sort of recreated it (even my hair was just as messy!) at 9:33PM (8:33 Pacific time, when he was born) on the night of his 5th birthday. <3 br="">

His birthday was great. I love making birthdays extra special and I love all the family time we had.

The next day was his birthday party!

The kids played musical chairs (totally bummed that I didn't think to get a picture while they were playing) and picked out their prizes.

Collin looked away right as I was taking his picture!

After that it was time for cake and ice cream!! Don't you love how is cake turned out?! Other than my red and blue frosting not turning out how I imagined I was pretty proud of it. And best of all, Dawson loved it!

And after that it was time to open presents! He got SPOILED!! He got really, really cool gifts and he was so excited about everyone of them!

Here he is with most of his birthday presents. Arika came over the day before because she wasn't able to make it to his party and gave him a few presents, too.

I need to get up to his room and find a home for all of his new toys! Last night Dave ran to Blockbuster (did you know those still existed? I didn't!) and rented Spider-Man from 2002 (the one with Tobey Maguire) and watched it with Dawson after we put Ashlynn to bed. Of course, he loved it!

His birthday was great, I appreciate everybody who helped make it great, he was definitely a happy boy! Mama and Dada are so proud of the little boy that he is. He's sweet, caring, funny, smart, loving, energetic, happy, and a definite mommy's boy who always has something to talk about. :) :) He can bring a smile to anyone's face no matter how bad of a day they're having. He's just great and we love him to pieces. Happy birthday, baby boy!!!
