Dave's 38th Birthday!

Earlier this week was Dave's birthday! The night before his birthday we decided to go out to dinner to celebrate. We haven't been to Famous Dave's in YEARS and Dave really wanted it so that's where we went. I didn't think to take a picture until after we had finished eating...probably because it was so good! We decided to get the Feast for Two. It came with ribs, roasted chicken, chopped pork, fries, corn on the cob, baked beans, and apples. We were in bbq heaven!

We both wondered why we didn't come to eat there more often and when we got the check we were reminded why! When the four of us go out to eat we usually spend $20-$25...this was almost double that. YIKES! Definitely worth it ever now and then but not often. 

After we got home and got the kids to bed I started working on my cinnamon roll dough. I wanted to make cinnamon rolls for Dave to take to work on his birthday. I did everything except bake them the night before and just kept them in the fridge until the next morning. I woke up baked them, sent Dave off to work and then went back to sleep. haha

After Dave got home from work we went to a Kindermusik pajama party. Both kids go to music class once a week, it's usually in the mornings (me and Ashlynn go on Thursdays and then me and Dawson go on Fridays) but this was a special family class that was in the evening. It was a lot of fun and we were happy that dada got to come and see what we do in class every week.

After class Brandee, Andy, Hailee, Drea, Arika, Bronson, and Travis all came over to our house for cake and ice cream. I made a chocolate covered Oreo cookie cake and it turned out super yummy! Look at all of those candles!! There are 38 of them to be exact!

I didn't get very many pictures but I LOVE these pictures of Dave and Dawson blowing out the candles on his cake.

 

And while I was at the party store picking up some decorations I saw some silly string and decided to pick up a couple of cans. Dave was a good sport and just stood there while me and Brandee sprayed him. It was a lot of fun! I see more silly string attacks in our future. ;)

 

 

I think he had a pretty good birthday. :)
