Short Update

Dawson's doctor's appointment went great! He weighed 17.6 pounds and is 27 inches long! I think the doc said he was in the 85 percentile for his weight and he is almost "off the charts" with his length. :-D That would explain why at 4 months old he is wearing 6-9 month clothing and even some 9-12 month!

He got a few shots, it was so sad. :-( He cried until I was able to pick him up and comfort him. I was fighting back my tears...at least I didn't start bawling like I did when he got his shots at 2 months. :-P

He pretty much passed out 15 minutes after he got the shots. Luckily I was able to give him a little bit of tylenol before he fell asleep which I think really helped his mood later on in the day. He was a little fussy but nothing too bad.

He has a little bit of eczema on his face so he was prescribed some hydrocortisone cream. That stuff works really well! His face started looking a lot better the next day!

His doc said I could try starting him on rice cereal anytime to see how he does but I've read that it is better to wait until he is about 6 months old, so that is what we are going to do. No rush. :-)
