Ramblings

I am back in San Diego and I am bored! Blah. I have only been back for a day and already have nothing to do. I want a job so bad!!!

Anyways, for now I will just have to write blogs all the time to keep me busy. I must warn you though that they will probably get boring QUICK since I am basically going to be doing the same thing day after day. :-P

.....

When I got home yesterday I decided I should probably go to the store since I emptied my fridge before I left, so there was nothing here to eat or drink really.

So...I walk out to the garage and try to unlock my car (keyless entry) and nothing happens.

Of course I knew right away that meant my battery was dead. Grrr!!! Still, I unlocked my car the old fashioned way and tried to start it.

Nothing.

I have jumper cables so I decided to use Dave's truck to jump start it. Only there was another problem. Dave's truck is backed into the garage and my car wasn't and my cables aren't that long.

Damn!

So I went to my neighbors house and asked if he could help push my car out so we could jump start it. Of course, he was happy to help.

So we get it pushed out of the garage, hook it up to Dave's truck and guess what...Dave's battery is also dead!

I guess that's what happens when you let a car sit there for months without starting it. This was news to me...I know nothing about cars! :-P

Anyways, my neighbor brought over his truck and got my car started. He told me to leave it running for a while so I ran to the gas station to get a drink to hold me over for a while and then came home and sat in the driveway and let my car run for a while.

Then my neighbor came back with a battery charger and plugged it into my garage and hooked it up to Dave's truck and told me to let it sit there over night.

So, both of our cars are running again which is good.

.....

Earlier today a lady called me from "Team Nimitz" and told me while I was gone they had a baby shower for all the pregnant wives with husbands that were on the Nimitz and asked if she could bring the stuff I got to my house.

I was excited to see everything and really think we got spoiled!

Before I left Utah my mom, sister, niece and I went shopping to buy a few outfits for the baby. I wish I had taken a picture of everything we got because everything is so cute!

I would take a picture now except the stuff we bought wouldn't fit in my bag so I had to send it home, it will be here tomorrow and I can show it off then. :-D

I did take a picture of my favorite thing before I packed it up to be sent here so I could show Dave...

It's the cutest thing ever! I love the butt! :-P

AND the thing that I am most anxious to get (I had to send this also because it wouldn't fit in my bag...I did a lot of shopping while I was there. :-P)

It's really cool. I can listen to the baby's heartbeat whenever I want. I was listening to it every night before I went to sleep but I wasn't able to last night since I didn't have it! :-( It really puts my mind at ease that everything is ok since I haven't felt him move yet. I should be feeling him soon! During the ultrasound he was moving and kicking SO MUCH! It was great!

I have a doctors appointment tomorrow and I really hope she does an ultrasound but I don't think she will. I love seeing him move around in there. :-D

I think that is it, for now.

Dave will be home in a month! Woohoo!!!
